Here's our criteria for what makes the cut:
Minimum business SDE/Cash Flow
We set a $500,000 minimum in SDE because businesses at that level have the revenue, infrastructure, and operational maturity to withstand economic downturns — anything below that, and you're often buying yourself a job, not a business.
Years in business
A business that has survived 10+ years has already weathered competitive shifts, and market cycles. That kind of track record can't be faked and tells you more about durability than any pro forma ever will.
Recession proof, durable industries
We focus on industries that people need no matter what the economy does (think essential services, healthcare, and infrastructure) because the best acquisition targets are businesses where demand doesn't disappear when the market gets nervous.
